1. Review your licensing options

Please ensure that you understand the scope of our main licence types: Personal, Group and Site, as detailed on our Licensing Options page. You should do this before you place your order, as we cannot accept returns for software.

2. General Notes

• Prices are valid to 1 May 2008 and are in U.S. dollars (USD), Euros (EUR) and British Pounds Sterling (GBP). These prices are for direct orders only. Using a reseller may well prove more expensive.

• VAT in the European Union: The prices listed below exclude Value-Added Tax (VAT/TVA). European Union customers ordering online will be billed VAT at the UK rate of 17.5%. If you are based inside the European Union (and outside the United Kingdom), have a valid VAT number, and do not wish to pay VAT at the UK rate, please fax your order details to us, using the downloadable order form.

• Free Shipping & Handling for CrystalMaker! For international orders we typically use priority airmail (Royal Mail Airsure), which takes approximately 3-7 days for delivery.

  Please remember to include a contact name and a FULL shipping address that will be acceptable to your local postal service!

• There is no physical shipping for CrystalDiffract and SingleCrystal (except when ordered in combination with CrystalMaker). We supply a licence code to unlock the full features of the Demo version. The Demo version can be downloaded from our website.

  When ordering CrystalDiffract or SingleCrystal, remember to specify the e-mail address of the end user, so we can send them their licence code and agreement.

• Mac or Windows? Software is available in two different versions, for Mac or Windows operating systems. Please remember to specify which platform you require. (When ordering online, you should be taken to an order page where you can specify the platform type using a popup menu.)

  If you require licences for both platforms, specify a new licence for one platform, and an upgrade for the second platform. The number of users for each platform must be same, to qualify for this "cross-platform upgrade" scheme.

  Site licences include All software, for All platforms.

• Mac Hardware Compatibility: Our Mac programs run natively on both (older) PowerPC and (newer) Intel-based Macs. Please refer to the individual product pages for specific operating system requirements. In particular, please note that CrystalMaker requires Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" or later.

• Credit Card Orders: (Visa, Mastercard, JCB) are welcomed and are billed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Your card provider will convert this to your local currency, using the exchange rates at the time of the transaction. Please be aware that because of exchange rate fluctuations, the total amount billed in your local currency may differ from our U.S. dollar (USD) or Euros (EUR) guide prices.

3. Upgrade Options:

We provide two upgrade paths for existing users:

• Version Upgrades let you obtain the latest version on your current platform (e.g., to upgrade Mac version 7 to Mac version 8). The licence type (e.g., 5-user Group Licence) must be the same for old and new licences.

  To qualify for a version upgrade, you must:

  • Complete any outstanding payments from previous orders.
  • Provide proof-of-purchase of your existing licence (e.g., by registering your copy).
  • Supply your licence number when ordering an upgrade.

  Please note that we only charge for major upgrades (full-unit changes e.g., CrystalMaker 7.x to 8.x). We don't charge for incremental updates, e.g., from CrystalMaker 7.1 to 7.2, or 7.0.1 to 7.0.2. These can be downloaded free-of-charge from the Updates page of this site.

• Cross-Platform Upgrades are available when you want to run the program on a different platform (e.g., Mac to Windows).

  For best value-for-money, consider a Corporate Site licence: All products, All platforms, unlimited use for one year!
